A full set of 24 Elder Futhark Runes plus a blank Rune
Made from solid natural oak wood. This is a oak tree Rune Set that is made to last for years to come
Our Oak Tree Rune sets are cut from a single piece of oak in order to assure continuity with the oak tree's spirit. The magic of the oak tree is well placed in the cultures of Nordic, Wiccan, Druidic and other traditions.
The Runes are supplied untreated in their natural state. This will improve the connection between you and the runes and also allows you to add, if you wish, your own natural oils, paint or blood.
Size: 37mm x 22mm approx. As each Rune is carefully finished by hand their may be very small differences in size between Runes.
The runes stem from an ancient form of Germanic alphabet, which was used by the Germanic and Nordic tribes of northern Europe, Scandinavia and Britain for writing, divination and magical purposes. Runic inscriptions have been found on stones, jewellery, weapons and objects dating back to the 3rd century AD, but it’s likely that they existed long before that.
When you cast the runes, it’s not fortune-telling. The idea behind the way that runes work is that, as you ask a question or think about an issue, your conscious and unconscious minds are focused. When the runes are cast in front of you, they’re not totally random, but are choices that have been made by your subconscious.
With these Runes you will receive an easy-to-understand guide to the meanings of the symbols and how to cast. Like any form of divination or oracle reading, it can take time to master the art of reading the runes. There are books and guides available to help you understand the runic meanings and their significance in your life, and to the questions and issues you’re exploring, with practice it does get easier.

This set includes a blank Rune in case you lose another Rune piece, this will keep the continuity of the replacement Rune with the rest of the set.
